Google Maps 8-bit Edition
0Google has a long history of awesome April Fool’s Day pranks. This one however, well, dammit if I don’t wish this were real. Presented below is Google Maps 8-bit edition complete with an awesome Dragon Warrior theme. I would buy the hell out of this!
How cool is that? Check out the Google Maps site and click the quest button. Awesome!
Mega Man + Portal = Awesome!
0Mega Man with a Portal gun. Unfair? Perhaps. Badass? Definitely!
The Ballad of Mike Haggar
0Epic does not do the above video justice. It is simply amazing. You need to watch this.
Super NintendoEmulatorSystem
0You know, I had no idea that’s what NES really stood for. Check out this link to vigothecarpathian’s instrucables tutorial on how to turn your Super NES into an amazing portable gaming emulator. The work seems relatively easy to do and the end product is just fantastic. I want one. Check out the video below for a demo of the unit in action. Pure gaming bliss!
Batman Arkham City: The Riddler!
0The Riddler remains one of my top two favorite Batman villains, the other being Two-Face. With both of the included in this game I am understandably excited. This game may be number one on my 2011 watch list, although MW3 is up there pretty high.
I have always believed the Riddler to be the most undervalued Batman villain. This trailer shows him to be the Jigsaw equivalent in Gotham and it works. Setting traps, leaving clues, being clever, all perfect for Mr. Nigma. What do you guys think?
Mortal Kombat: Legacy Episode 1
0So a little while ago this really cool Mortal Kombat thing hit the internet and people went crazy for it. No one knew what it was or where it came from. Fast forward to today and the first episode of the web exclusive Mortal Kombat series is live. It’s awesome. Watch the hell out of this and show some support.

The above apron is available from http://www.bethanysewandsew.com/ . She also has a ton of cool patterns for other really geeky aprons. Check her stuff out.
Geekiest thing ever?
1This young man, who quite resembles Harry Potter, has made a video of himself playing the Tetris theme on an Ocarina IN GAME! That is a level of geekery that is damn near incomprehensible.
Videogame history…
1A cool little video showcasing the evolution and history of game consoles. Not perfect but ambitious nonetheless.
Peach and Zelda come clean…
0Every wonder what those wacky princesses talk about over coffee? Well, here you go.
Phoenix and Haggar for MvC3!
0Two quick videos for one of my 2011 Watch List games. Marvel vs Capcom 3 will be amazing. It must be. It simply has to be. Because if not, I will destroy small barnyard animals with my vengeance! And rage and hate! Like a REALLY angry Red Lantern.
In these two videos we get some nice gameplay shots of Phoenix and Haggar in action. Of the two, Phoenix certainly looks more versatile and fun. Haggar looks like a straight Zangief ripoff, which is fine since wrestler characters are always popular in Street Fighter. Have a gander at the two newest reveals for MvC3. I cannot wait for this!
8-bit Scion xB
0Designed by Eric Nakamura this retro inspired Scion xB is a thing of beauty. Truly a geek vehicle, the attention to detail and the little touches, like a videogame button starter, are just insane. Love this!
GBA Jump Drive
0Or Flash Drive or Thumb Drive or whatever drive. This is a pretty cool hack found over on Alexander Sheen’s blog. There are step by step instructions, with pics, detailing the transformation from ordinary GBA cart to extra-ordinary jump drive. It looks relatively simple and is a rad conversation starter. Head on over and check it out.

Hilarious VG standup!
0Dara O’Briain is a very funny man. Everything in this clip is truth!
